The Finch is embarking on a fundraising effort to convert the theatre to digital cinema, allowing the theatre to show movies that have clean crisp images, as well as the ability to show movies in 3D.  The theatre currently shows movies on 35mm film and it is estimated that film companies will no longer print 35mm movies in a couple of years, leaving the Theatre with limited options, if any.

Two fundraising events have already been held: the 1st Annual Studs in Stockings was a huge success; and a barbeque dinner sponsored by the 2010 Lincoln Leadership Class held in conjuction with a live band performance by the Doghouse Daddies was attended by many.  Other fundraisers ideas are being planned which include a Texas Hold'em Tournament, Adult Comedy Play, Karaoke Contest, additional live performances and letter drives.

If you are interested in donating towards the projection equipment, please select the Donate button below to donate online or mail your donations to the Finch Theatre, PO Box 45, Lincoln, Ks  67455, notating projection equipment on the check or envelop.
